Abiding Is Marriage (11/27/17)

Let marriage be held in honor [esteemed worthy, precious, of great price, and especially dear] in all things.
(Hebrews 13:4)

Marriage is something that I have come to realize that I did not appreciate and hold in high esteem in times past. This I only came to understand through my many times over the years addressing with God what was important to God and must also become important to me, now being a theist and a Christ follower. I was once married. Bodily, it lasted for about a year and a half. Lawfully, it went on another year from that. I will say this, Christ saves but that does not remove hurt that has already been inflicted. I do know that despite the hurt, Christ can give strength to those who have been injured or have done the injuring, to walk in hope again regardless of past hurts we have experienced. But He alone has this perpetual reservoir, if I may, of power to strengthen us not to remain in a place of pain, injury and brokenness, but to arrive at a place of peace, joy, forgiveness and wholeness. With that said, I now invite you Into My Heart.

Two by two: (Mark 6:7-13)

Beloved, as with many writings of mine, I will start this with a confession, as it is proper and fitting to start with confession. For where the Lord Jesus is at, there is confession. I was once married for a year and a half. Sadly, I did not walk in the power of the Husband, nor did we experience the love, power and authority of God’s blessing on our marriage. We had every opportunity to experience it as I was prior to my marriage a confessed Christian by the act of an alter call and baptism. However, I was not a practicing one, and shortly after my confession and baptism I slid away from the Lord Jesus for three years. Many days now, when the Lord is speaking to me concerning the power of the Husband and the sanctity of marriage, I reflect on my failed marriage and more so, my failure in leading my wife. But it has been my prayer and indeed I know it will be so. That when marriage befalls me again, I will walk in the power of the Husband and lead my wife triumphantly as Christ leads His Church. Praise the Lord! With that said, I now invite you into my HEART...

The Marriage Bed: Husbands, let it not become corrupted

There’s no getting around it. In this day and age, the statement “I do” has been so undervalued and abused and I speak from experience, that marriage is seen as a joke, and it has become such a perverted, misconstrued notion, where fidelity, holiness and purity are relative—you uphold it, you don’t uphold it, what’s the bid deal! This has been the evidence and witness of marriage today and its plastered all over the news headlines, the magazine racks by the grocery store checkout, as well as in the Church. There must be hope still and indeed there is. But where does this hope come from and where is this defining order and harmony to such a holy union? With that said, I now invite you into my HEART...

The Golden Rule: Jesus was speaking to our hearts and not to the one to the right and left of us

The above illustration, points out a very honest depiction—It shows the perspective of two peoples. Many times our perspectives can be misconstrued when we do not allow ourselves to be educated. Upon being educated, we will gain the right perspective and only then, can we truly experience growth and prosperity.

Beloved, I confess to you, that I too, have many times looked at others with the wrong perspective, and came to my own conclusion without learning and knowing the facts. How wrong I am in those times, and I appeal to God’s grace and mercy to forgive me, and restore me to a proper perspective; a right perspective, in order to grow and experience the prosperity my soul longs for—a people being reconciled to God by experiencing His wonderful love that is only known in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Amen. With that being said, I now invite you, into my HEART...

The Two Hopes

“There comes a time when our hope needs to be illuminated and made firm in truth and not darkened by the false misconceptions of our misconstrued reality, we can hopelessly create.”

Beloved, for the past four years I have been on an epic journey and this journey hasn’t always been bump free. What I have come to know and love, is being a transparent man: A man not withholding his struggles or his triumphs. For the past four years I have indeed experience growth to some degree and measure in every area of my life; some more than others but nevertheless growth is apparent. I have come to embrace the joys of reading and gaining knowledge and understanding from the books I am reading that aren’t merely books suggested, but they are books meticulously chosen that will shape every area of my life: mind, heart, body and soul.

The other Side of the Coin: Marriage (Let Love Wait!)

“Let love like patience have it’s day and be perfected.” — F. Lugo

Attention: Ladies, beware of the man who woos you with a public spectacle of his ‘undying affectionate’ love at first for you but later does not uphold the cause of love— being with you through sickness, bad times and till death. Let the man who stands firm on and walks in the love of Christ that his very life dictates that public spectacle of love, be what you will wait upon the Lord for. With that being declared, I now invite you into my HEART...

To My Beloved: An Unveiling of A “New Thing”

YOU ARE FAVORED BY GOD AND DEARLY LOVED

My beloved Mishel, how I rejoice in the Lord to have had this awakening and that He has declared it so. On January 1, 2010 a great unveiling took place in my life. As I sat at your dinner table among your family and taking in the scene of celebration. I rejoiced to have been invited to be a part of celebration but greater than that, to be a part of your family even if it was for that night as we were just friends. With that being said, What God has unveiled to me concerning you, I now invite you into my HEART...

To be married: A Word From The Lord

Beloved, grace and peace be with you in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, extending wisdom and revelation to you, that you would understand and embrace His great love towards you.

**RECEIVE THE BLESSING**

This is what the Lord says and shows me, “Being married, isn’t a man woman thing, it is a heavenly thing. It is not about physical connection but rather being of one accord in belief, vision and action coming together seamlessly as one. Amen.” With that revelation being given, I now invite you into my HEART...

GONNA GET MARRIED

This thought of marriage has long confused me, and no wonder. Marriage has been drastically distorted and perverted for so long. It’s impossible in this world to grasp the reason for marriage. Marriage is something that people casually enter into and hours later dismiss without a care in the world. Marriage is done at the whim of a bet, a game of poker, or a dare. Marriage has come in all shapes, colors and sizes. People get married to their pets, and farm animals. At that foolish thought and notion, wouldn’t you be incredibly confused about marriage? Who wouldn’t? With that being said, I now invite you into my HEART...

UNGODLY SOUL TIES

This phrase I have been hearing lately more and more concerning relationships, and this morning the Lord placed it into my heart to speak on the matter as He will shed light. Beloved, we are all called by God to do something of great significance and although everyone will not share the same enthusiasm or calling we do, that doesn’t mean those relationships are not birthed and ordained by God. You may not have the same calling, ministry, talents, gifts, skills or background but as long as you are heading towards the same direction; that is Jesus— You are on the right path. Amen.

Let’s begin by defining this phrase, “ungodly soul ties.”

Flesh And Blood

As I reflect on these words, “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Mark 14:38) I realized a great insight from the beginning. A mans glory is his wife, and if the mans flesh doesn't succumb to sin then his wife will not succumb to sin. If the man rejoices within his bones so does his wife. But on the same note if the man falls to sin his wife does as well. If he mourns in sorrow within his bones from being separated from God so shall his wife have great mourning and sorrow within her bones. Such great insight in the words below that reflect what the Lord showed me moments ago.

“And Adam said: This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.” (Genesis 2:23)

Husbands and Men! Let us look onto the champion of our Salvation the Lord Jesus that we will lead our wives; our women into the everlasting that her flesh will remain pure and she shall rejoice gladly within her bones.

Now, these words ring true and I rejoice in them gladly, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24)

Amen.

As always...YOU ARE LOVED

What happened 7/3/2009?

"Embraced, redeemed and restored- God's love for us as we reflect in remorse than repent."- F. Lugo

I'll start by asking you this simple and direct question: What happens when you lose something very valuable and then you find it?  You would get excited; celebrate, even want others to rejoice with you because what was once lost is now found.

I was reading the Parable of the Lost Son (see Luke 15:11-32), and started to reflect and revisit what happened on July 3, 2009. It was a day I will remember always. Although it was a day to celebrate, sadly the day was marred with sorrow, displeasure and discontentment of all sorts. Allow me to catch you up on the situations and circumstances that lead to a day of sadness. There was this young man who had decided in his own heart that he would do things himself. Although it was made clear to him what he should have done and shouldn't have done, he still decided to be lead by his emotions instead of leading his own heart. The year is 2007 and this young man decided to get married although all signs pointed to it being the wrong decision but it seemed like the adult thing to do. The wedding was small and very few people gathered around them to witness it. A year and half later through lack of leadership, counsel and humility the young man left his wife, lost the potential blessing of being a parent, and destroyed his marriage where trust, love and unity was no more.

I'm sure you can picture in your mind why July 3, 2009 was a saddening day for this fellow. Well he is now 29 years of age, living with family as he returned back to his family's home a broken shell of a man, with low self-esteem, anger, disgust, sorrow and disbelief in himself. Now it happened when everyone was asleep, and this young man was laying down crying himself into dehydration as he had no peace to rest, something started to change direction deep within him. He sat up at the edge of his bed and cried, and cried, and cried. He was so tired of messing up everything. He knew that his mistakes would take a long time to correct, yet he didn't have the strength to accomplish it. This young man looking into the absolute darkness and silence of his room, heard a voice deep within himself say, 'What you cannot see and cannot hear, is the darkness of your heart and the silence of love that was once in you.' This young man in tears cried out and said, "God, I can't do this anymore. I'm so sorry for what I have done. I need you. Please help me." What was presented to him would forever change his life. This same voice deep within him said, "I come with a gift. A gift no one will ever take away. As you lay your head down and it rises in the morning, all will be different. You will now hear and see."

As the young man rested in peace and arose the next day, he thought about what had happened to him the previous night. With a new sense of hope he found himself desiring to read the bible. The young man being as he is, found a bible application on his phone and started to read, and read and read. He couldn't get enough of the life changing words in the Bible. He was fascinated by the encouragement, the counsel, the direction the words seemed to speak into his heart, his mind, his everything. It was as if the words he read were life themselves. They were refreshing, inspiring, and also warned him of things he actually did and things he was afraid of and never wanted to do. The young man felt so very loved from the words he read. The more he read them, the more he heard that same voice from that troubling and faithful night. In actuality the young man was thoroughly convinced that Jesus had truly spoken to him and His presence was literally in the room with him on that night and he was amazed how God cared so much about him that He would intervene in his ruined life. The young man was smitten with the Word of God. He read it constantly. Carried it in his phone always, and felt this great urge to write about it and what it has done for him and what it could do for others. As the young man looked back on the night of July 3, 2009 he realized that it wasn't a sad day after all, but the beginning of a new life. One where he would never be alone, but God who came to him on that night would remain with him always and forever.

What an amazing story. I told you it was a day I would never forget. You may be asking yourself why? Because that young man is me. Praise the Lord!

As I mentioned in the beginning of this story, when something is lost and now found you rejoice! As it is written in the very inspiring, forgiving, loving, counseling, correcting, directing, saving, life changing, immutable and infallible Word of God, Jesus speaks "Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." (Luke 15:10)

I leave you with this, we all make mistakes, but the biggest mistake you could EVER make, is not crying out to the Lord, to save you. As the Word of God declares to all people of all the world, "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13)

Beloved, repent of your mistakes and cry out to the Lord. YOU WILL BE SAVED! Amen.

As always...YOU ARE LOVED.
