Man! This is tough

*A lesson can be learned from the Book of Daniel. There were three
young men who at all cost were decided on being obedient to God. Their
names were: Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.

King Nebuchadnezzar was the King in that day. King Nebu (as I like to
call him...LOL) in all his foolishness decided what better way to
display his power and respect then to construct a huge! gold statue
for all to worship.

King Nebu, even decreed that anyone who would not bow to the statue
would be thrown into a fiery furnace. Because of Hananiah, Mishael,
and Azariah holiness that set them apart from the world, and their
obedience to God, they would not bow down to the statue, and King
(Nebu) in his extreme anger over the three young men not following his
ways, he commanded that the fiery furnace be heated 7 times hotter,
before the three young men were to be thrown into it. That's serious!

In (Daniel 3:16-18) I love how the obedience and faith these young men
had is illustrated so well. The three young men say to King Nebu,
'they wouldn't have to defend themselves before the king, and that God
who they serve is able to save them,' but they also say to the king
(verse 18) "But even if he (God) doesn't (save them), we want to make
it clear to you, Your majesty, that we will never serve your gods or
worship the gold statue you have set up."

What can be taken and learned from this?
They all stood firm on their
belief in God, but also remain of honor and respect by acknowledging
the authority before them when they said "Your majesty." That is some
serious humility. A great lesson for myself and for us all.
"In our belief, let us do it with great honor and respect for all, and
towards all." F. Lugo

Now in (verse 25), the King has already commanded the three young men
to be tied up and thrown into the furnace that was heated 7 times
hotter. Yet the King cannot believe what he is seeing. Four men
walking around in the blazing inferno untied, and one of them looks
like a god to Him. In (verse 27) it gets even better. The three men
have been commanded to come out of the furnace, and they come out
unharmed, without any of their body or clothing scorched from the
blazing inferno. Awesome!

In (verse 28) the King in amazement praises the three young Men's God,
and decrees that no one else is to speak a word against God or else!
From this verse you can see that God is amazing, and will have others
in amazement yet not all will praise him willingly to be their God.

God shows us through the Book of Daniel, that the fiery trials we will
go through, we in fact, go through it with Him. In such faith and
obedience regardless of the outcome, God will allow us to come out
unharmed, and actually much stronger then when we first went in.

This is something that gives me great peace and joy. Knowing and
believing God will deliver us through the craziness that will come at
us in our lives. Awesome! *Faith and Obedience is the key here*

God bless you all
