SUMthing to think about (a series) Part 5: "Your True Job (calling/purpose)

[Matthew 4: 18-20]

In this scripture, our Lord sheds light on what must be for all of our lives. Not only did He choose God's messengers (you cannot, nor any institution on earth, say or decree you to be for God, but being led by God, the choosing is done).

Our Lord shows us the difference between a job in the world, and a True calling that is shown, in what [You] think you are to do.

Peter, and Andrew were fisherman, and this was their job, yet the Lord in His Truth, sheds Light on the situation, and says "You will be fisher of men."

What does this mean for you? i.e. If you are in the medical field, you weren't created to work behind a computer, take blood samples, look at x-Ray images, diagnose someone as terminally ill, or collect payments, etc...

You were created to heal the body, and Free the Spirit, by spreading, the Word of God.

If you can believe it, count yourselves blessed. Work is sin [ Genesis 3:23 (New International Version)

23 So the LORD God (banished) him from the Garden of Eden to (work) the ground from which he had been taken.]

Being solely for God, in all that you do, is the Truth, and this is the purpose for us ALL.

***If you think about it, if God is Love, and if God is peace, and you find yourself running around like a crazed person, and what you do has very little to do with Love, then are you for God, and in His image? *Food For Thought*

GOD bless.
