Epic Quotes (2014) Part 4 of 7

Quotes, quotes and even more divinely inspired quotes. Thank you Jesus

First and foremost, this is all the Lord’s doing. All things good come from God above, and He is faithful and exceedingly generous in His kindness to share with me a sinful man, such wonderful things too great for me to know. Praise you Lord God for your exceeding kindness and great mercy to those who cry out to you in desperation to come to their aid and save them. You are good and I know it all too well! Blessed be your holy name forever and ever. Amen.

Oh Lord, may purpose that is found in you alone, be found actively at work in me and through me. Let your will be done always. For yours is the glory, the honor, the power and the praise forever. Amen.

Here are all the words I recorded down for the year of 2014 as I was divinely inspired by God to write, whether through reading, reflection, interactions with others, struggles of mine, triumphs God had given me, prayers of mine and observing life all around me. I have listed them as quotes and this is the continuation of the 7-part series. May they inspire us all to seek God first, to faithfully love and follow the Lord Jesus and remind us of why we first rejoiced over our Savior and great God and King. With that said, I now invite you into my HEART...

Lugo 8/17/14 Boom! (John 13:1-17) inspires!

Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. (Psalm 1:1-2)

  •  All the promises of God in Christ are yes (2 Corinthians 1:20-22)

“Don’t believe the hype whether good or bad.” - Mark Forman (father of Jon Forman from Switchfoot)

162. “We all have a cross to bear. Know this: Is the cross you are carrying a means of saving others, or a death sentence you rightfully deserve?” - F. Lugo 8/20/14 10:27:04pm Boom! (what inspired this? Real faith. Only known in motion and only seen in Christ...Boom!)

163. “Real faith: Only known in motion, only seen in Christ.” - F. Lugo 8/20/14 10:32:15 (will the Lord Jesus find faith in you Flavio, when He returns? Generosity:
165. “Generosity is a privilege and an honor given to us by God who is King of the Universe. To be
generous is to live like royalty.” – F. Lugo – F. Lugo 8/22/14

166. “Every thought, word and action coming from us is shaping the future of another. Why do I say thought? Thoughts become speech and thoughts become actions and it all derives from what you have in your heart. If God is not in your heart in which is Jesus Christ, what you are shaping [influencing] will inevitably become corrupt.” - F. Lugo 8/22/14

167. “Jesus Christ is that tangible force of Eternal life manifested in the flesh here on earth. He is the visible image of God’s wisdom, and power and love. If our hearts are not anchored onto Him our souls are corrupt and if corrupt, our eternities have been compromised and we remain separated from God forever.” - F. Lugo 8/22/14

168. “I want to have a ‘jump-for-joy’ excitement for Jesus.” - F. Lugo 8/22/14

I absolutely love when something that took place years ago is brought back to my memory.
I remembered my high school girlfriend (Raquel) showing me a Christmas photo that was taken of her when she opened up one of her gifts. She literally was captured jumping for joy. The gift she received were some character slip on slippers. When I first saw the photo, I thought to myself two distinct things: 1. Why was someone so happy over slippers and 2. I can't recall ever being that excited over receiving anything.

I thank God that He’s in the business of reminding us of times past, that can most certainly add value into our lives presently, if we look to Him for it. Being blessed to remember that photo, made me aware of something that I and all human beings are desperately in need of; to be jump-for-joy excited over Jesus and what He did for the human race that no one could ever possibly do or dare to even think of doing. He God, became flesh and did the unthinkable. He Himself, paid the price for sin, so we wouldn’t have to. He reconciled us to Himself, because He loves us that much! If that isn't worthy of a jump-for-joy lifestyle, then I will never know what is.

Thank you @rak1331 for sharing that moment in your life with me. Just moments ago, after remembering it, I said to God: “Lord, that picture and that expression of sheer joy and excitement impresses upon me so many years later the type of joy and excitement I want to have with you and I want others to have for you.” What one photo can do. Amazing. Praise the Lord.

169. “Speaking on generational curses. Do you want to do as they did, or do better, be wiser and go further!?” - F. Lugo 8/23/14 (inspired by the song “Meant to live” by Switchfoot)

170. “In Jesus Christ, generational curses are broken once and for all. You’re not working on breaking them, they’re already broken!” - F. Lugo 8/23/14 Glory!

171. “To the man who hears a resounding ‘yes’ to his marriage proposal, he ought to remain humble and thankful for the remainder of his life.” - F. Lugo 8/23/14

172. “If I can’t see the face of Perfection for a time, let it be so, I will experience the presence of Perfection–this is Jesus.” F. Lugo 8/24/14

173. “Jesus has honored us for a lifetime and forevermore when He breathed His breath of life into us and we became a living being. It’s high time we reciprocate that back. With the breath of life we now have, let us honor Him in this lifetime, and I pray, forevermore. Amen.” - F. Lugo 8/24/14

Obedience:
174. “When your will lines up with God’s will, you will have a will.
When your determination lines up with God’s determination, you will be determined.
When your character lines up with God’s character, you will have integrity.
When your hearts desires line up with the desires of God’s heart, you will become prosperous.
What’s my purpose? To model obedience.” - F. Lugo 8/21/14 (inspired by Charles Spurgeon and the life of Jesus).

175. “Obedience is centered in love. God is love, so when we obey God, we are in the center of His love; a place of perpetual fellowship with Him.” - F. Lugo 8/24/14 (inspired by Rick Warren’s The Purpose Driven Life).

176. “These are all good: Prayer, praise [adoration] and offerings [sacrifices]. However, a more better thing presents itself– obedience!” - F. Lugo 8/24/14 (inspired by 1 Samuel 15:22 NCV)

177. “Fellowship with God is the key to everything.” - F. Lugo 8/24/14 (inspired by Rick Warren’s The Purpose Driven Life)

178. “Time is of the essence. Therefore, spend more of it with God.” - F. Lugo 8/24/14 (inspired by Rick Warren’s The Purpose Driven Life)

179. “When men are driven by hate and not wisdom, they are driven to murder and not make peace.” - F. Lugo 8/24/14 (inspired by the motion picture Patriot Games)

180. “Nothing is impossible for the one that believes that all things are possible with God.” - F. Lugo 8/25/14

True Freedom in Christ

181. “I do not count my life of any value or precious at all!”
- Lecrae (Boasting in Christ alone/Galatians 2:20)

182. “Jesus is the life and He is the valuable One. To be free to serve Him diligently even if it means laying down my own life, is what I persistently ask Him for and I won’t relent in my persistent asking until I have it!” - F. Lugo 8/25/14

Love
183. “Perfect love is not without its complications, however, it rises above all insecurities, extinguisher all doubts and fears and surpasses all expectations– This is Jesus!” - F. Lugo 8/26/14

Commitment
184. “We are not to only give thanks to God for all He has done for us, but Jesus calls us to commitment.” - F. Lugo 8/27/14

Then He [Jesus] said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” (Luke 9:23)

And why does Jesus call us to take up our cross DAILY? The Cross of Christ is the Eternal sign of God’s commitment to reconcile the sinful world back to Himself. The Cross of Christ is that perpetual sign of God’s undying love for the world, and this is why Jesus declared this glorious truth:
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

And this love is not a condemning love and this act of love made known through the Cross of Christ is not a condemning act towards us, as Jesus further reveals this glorious truth: “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:17)

When the Lord Jesus carried His Cross, there was no turning back for Him. He was committed to the very end. He was committed to the death, even the death of the Cross. Once pinned to it, He would not be unpinned. Our commitment to God is only made known and available through His dying commitment to us. Therefore, in carrying our own cross daily, we remain committed to God daily and experience the great sacrifice He made once and for all that would remind us of His great love no matter what troubling times we must go through and find ourselves in. Praise the Lord!

185. “My spiritual body I am most concerned with. This skin and bones is but a mere rental; a means to an end.” - F. Lugo 8/28/14 (inspired by Switchfoot’s “Dare You To Move” and this great reference found here: http://www.bible.ca/ef/expository-1-corinthians-15-50-52.htm)

Beloved, the things of God in their fullness are far more precious and glorious than we mere men can comprehend. It will take being as He is to comprehend fully and enjoy completely what the Creator God of heaven and earth is all about and completely has to offer.

God is Spirit and without a spiritual body His glory can get lost in translation with mere men, but in transformation from flesh and bones to spirit, oh praise the Lord, we shall see and know and be as He is! I long for this day as if it's my means to live and breathe. Lord Jesus come! Heaven Bound.

When we read “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” we ought to be in awe with tears, shaking and trembling. What is glory, what cannot fade, what cannot be corrupted came to us to bring the heaven’s perspective to our dark, sin filled crumbling world. If not for Jesus, what would we have to look forward to...death? No! I in Christ, look forward to my heavenly home to be enjoyed in my heavenly body. Praise you Jesus!

186. “If Jesus isn’t there, neither am I.” - F. Lugo 9/2/14

187. “It is grace from God for man to work.” - F. Lugo 9/2/14 (inspired my the Lord igniting determination within me once I looked and saw that my uncle’s lawn mower was in my garage and I could cut my grass rather than sit down and watch tv. Thank you Lord Jesus!)

188. “This is the truth. Hear me on this: When your desire is God alone, then you will experience blessing, breakthrough and growth in every area of your life and never again know lack. To experience this, is to always desire Jesus over everything and everyone.” - F. Lugo 9/2/14

189. “This is true Peace: That God’s heart has been open to you like the most beautiful of flowers unfurled before you and it's wonderful fragrance has showered you and perfumed you forevermore.” - F. Lugo 9/4/14 (inspired by the words of a man who said, “I wake up with peace and tranquility” yet this mans words and actions are volatile at best.

190. “You don’t teach a child to be kind and courteous but dismiss moral living altogether. For with the mouth one speaks, but with the heart one lives. Therefore, pour into a child the Eternal Word of God, so when he grows up his courteous ways will not be mere lip service but his heart will spring forth with eternal life like living water bursting out of him and soaking everyone up.” - F. Lugo 9/4/14 (inspired by my surroundings and what I see and hear and experience between human beings).

191. “When you’re hearing the Word of God and standing before an example of God, you may very well feel as if you’re being thrusted into the “hot seat.” But do not worry, as this is the proper position to be in, if you are not knowing God and want to know God.” - F. Lugo 9/4/14

192. “People who you are attractive to attract people–Be infectious.” - F. Lugo 9/4/14

There’s something about this Jesus of mine. His way of living is most infectious. Jesus is quite literally the most attractive Person that ever lived. His attraction is not found in physical beauty that fades away, but in the manner He conducted Himself. It is not too much to say this: The very thoughts, words and actions of Jesus are perfect and in turn are most overwhelmingly attractive.

JESUS, GOD’S BLOSSOMED FLOWER
written by Flavio A. Lugo
9/4/14

What a flower He was.
Springing up among the thorns. Flourishing in the midst of a dry heat.
Surrounded by the locust that consume.
And yet He blossomed.
Not without purpose, He lived.
Not without purpose He died.
He gave up His fragrance,
And like the Breath of the Almighty,
We who took Him in have been perfumed with the most glorious of fragrances... ETERNAL LIFE!

193. “God’s unfailing compassion and mercy causes Him to act every time when a people are in need and cry out to Him.” - F. Lugo 9/6/14 (Luke 10:25-37 inspires!) My True Story

Beloved, God’s grace and peace be with you, on this day the Lord has made and blessed. Amen.
We can choose to be a people who will live blessed by God in that we know Him, He knows us and we reveal His love to this world. Let us be those people.

Our daily bread for Saturday, September 6, 2014. Let us take a lesson from the Story Teller of the “Good Samaritan.”

It is God’s good pleasure to be a God of unfailing compassion and mercy. This alone is attributed to God. Men may feel bad but it will not cause them to stop and help when it is needed. The compassion and mercy of men is represented in this manner: When the hurting are present before us, we may think, ‘poor guy, I feel bad for him,’ but keep moving past him as if he does not need help or 'He must’ve brought it upon himself.’

Beloved, there shall be many who are casted to the wayside desperately in need of our help. They’re shall be many who will look the other way and keep moving passed the need and not show the compassion and mercy of the “Good Samaritan.” Yet, they’re a few who will reveal God’s unfailing compassion and mercy and move into action! They, a people of God, will see a people in great need and fill that need. They will be a living and active force on this earth where God will be made known in and through their generous actions.

How I pray, we will not be a people who will walk around with the false compassion and mercy of men that leads to nothing, but will look up to the Lord of heaven and earth to have compassion and mercy on us, in filling our hearts, souls, minds and bodies with His unfailing compassion and mercy for a people, so we too, will act! Amen.

What is the purpose of this story? First and foremost to acknowledge the Story Teller and the insight that He sees when others choose not to see, can’t see and won’t see. Second and equally important, that God’s compassion and mercy is what causes a man to act every time when he sees one who is greatly in need.

Beach side Inspiration (God Speaks):

194. “It’s not ‘I’m open in my sexuality.’ It’s closed off and separated from God that causes us to openly expose the 'modest members’ of our body.” - F. Lugo 9/7/14 (inspired by 1 Corinthians 12:23, in part 1 Timothy 2:9 and the scene at Delray Beach).

195. “Without proper protection you get burned.” - F. Lugo 9/7/14

The world will be destroyed in everlasting unquenchable fire and not water. The world debates such a thing, yet such words are empty and in vain as they do not lead them to repent of their wicked ways and seek God out while He can still be found. For water was the cleansing agent in Noah’s day, but now in another day with great evil, shall come the refining agent. For when fire is applied to what is impure and with spot and blemish, what remains is what is pure, spotless and without blemish.
Christ and Him crucified is that great cleansing agent far greater than the great flood in Noah’s Day. And the fire that came from His mouth, that is, the power of God’s Word and His Holy Spirit have refined us, who are found confessed in Christ.

Now this confession has begun in the hearts of men all over the world in that we have believed God has raised Him from the dead, and that confession continues and finishes it’s proper course, in that we confess that Jesus is Lord.

When that appointed time comes in God’s good patience, it shall no longer be a cleansing time nor a refining time for peace with God, but a time of great fiery judgment and wrath on the sons of disobedience not found in Christ, who is the Son of Obedience and Righteousness.

How I pray, while it is still “today,” for today is the day of Salvation, and this salvation has only come by the name of Jesus, that a people will turn away from their wicked ways, rather than thinking they are okay and no harm shall come to them, for their consciences towards God and His Son Jesus Christ say otherwise. Oh Lord, may the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be found only in you. Amen.

196. “Fire, water and Spirit, equals, God’s agents for change.” – F. Lugo 9/7/14 (inspired at the beach and these following verses: Deuteronomy 4:24; Matthew 3:11-12; John 3:5; 1 Peter 3:20-21; Mark 9:43-48)

197. “In order to operate at a successful level, we must have that proper love, security and supervision.” - F. Lugo 9/7/14 (inspired by hearing about Vinny scoring a 7 out of a 9 on his SAT’s).

198. “Don’t be so impatient and anxious for something you desperately want, that you settle for a mediocre representation from what God would have in store for you.” - F. Lugo 9/8/14

199. “Look to God. Remain with God. Obey God. Remain expectant. He has better in store for you.” - F. Lugo 9/8/14

200. “Upon the Mountain of God; this Mt. Horeb, in the midst of a dry and desolate wasteland, God made Himself powerfully known before a people who were with an enslaved mentality, selfish ways and in need of a Savior. Even when we find ourselves in such a climate of our hearts, minds, bodies and souls, God is able to be known and if you call out to Him, He will make Himself powerfully known in your ‘Horeb state.’” - F. Lugo 9/8/14

Beloved, God’s grace, mercy, peace, wisdom, strength and salvation be with you as you look to Him and call on Him on this day He has made. Amen.

Our daily bread for Monday, September 8, 2014. As I was driving early this morning and thinking of God and rejoicing in Him, I thought of that great “Mountain of God” where Moses met with God. As soon as this thought came into mind,  I heard Him say to me, “Did you look up what Horeb means?" With that divine direction, I looked up the word Horeb and it’s Hebrew meaning, to find out it means: dry; waste; wasteland.

As I took in this meaning a picture began to form and a truth was made known concerning God’s heart and character before the people of this world. He is willing and dedicated to revealing Himself; His glory and saving a people who are in need of Him.

Let us give thanks to God and seek Him out today, while it’s still “today!” As in a day God can save those who call out to Him for saving, and God can establish a people who are without hope to be a people of God who are hopeful, filled with joy and a sure future that is firm in God’s love and in His grace. Amen.

As always...YOU ARE LOVED.
