In My Treasury: A Vault of Immeasurable Wealth (a man’s observation from God’s perspective)

Beloved, what I wrote below came from the heart of a man who is not unaware, put off by, or without compassion toward the plight of this world and a people who do not know God. More than ever, the human race is desperately in need of God, yet very few people are sharing God for Whom He is— A God who is absolutely concerned with us as a people and has shown time and time again that He desires above all else to fellowship with us like a Father to their children. Amen. The words below I wrote to an author in response to a piece he wrote concerning the youth not knowing God. With that being said, I now invite you into my HEART...

I’m 32 soon-to-be 33, and I can tell you that I desire greatly to be happy, loved and fulfilled. I find living in a world that moves at the pace of Germany’s autobahn to be exhaustive in finding happiness, love and fulfillment from any source let alone God, who we are invited by Him to “come and see” and “taste and see that God is good.” I say this from the perspective of what I am noticing more and more in this world, not only from teenagers, but across society in general.

People in general have a “know-it-all” mentality that is set on knowing already what is best for them despite who is before them and what source it comes from. Not because the school system is generating geniuses, but due to the lack of parents being that very role model and source of discipline not from a dictator’s cold heart, but from a loving parents warm heart.

The idea of Jesus as being about love that is expressed in every form that this world so desperately needs to be expressed to it, has become an ideal to the youth and to people in general. To think of God as a Father showing us an intimate and unconditional love is ludicrous in this day and age. To think of God as the Son, showing us a reverence and obedience in desiring to love the Father in return is far fetched. To think of God as the Holy Spirit, showing us and intimacy with God unlike and unparalleled to any one-single human experience, is laughable.

Once again, I say this as a man who is concerned with the direction this world is going in and the destination it is heading towards, not smoothly but out of control resembling a spiraling free fall or a mountain of snow crashing down on a ski resort and town that awaits the tragedy below. The result is going to be of the likes of a cataclysmic event, one that would surpass the 2004 Tsunami that hit Asia and left a people devastated and in awe over such a momentous event and without a heads up to disaster and tragedy striking them down.

One doesn’t need to be an expect at Wall Street, in economics, or world events, history past and present. It is absolutely and unequivocally apparent in the distance of man and their personality of superiority over everything despite their deep pain and torment of having no actual identity but rather a mirage, a disguise that resembles something that seems stable, but can be associated more with quick sand sucking them in to a depth of “in over their heads.”

Even I have grown to have a distaste of the word Christian, but solely look to the word-meet-action despite failure of an actual Christ follower. Both names are synonymous with Jesus, but one actually resembles His commission and the other, might as well be decommissioned. As with many of the “Christian youth” of today’s America, they are more likely to tell you their youth pastors likes and dislikes, rather than know Jesus as their personal Savior. Jesus has become a buddy, a pal, a best friend in the likeness of those young ones that surround them at church, at school, at favorite “hangouts” and not the best friend that is closer than all— That speaks into you what you need to know vs. what they want to hear.

Even as an adult in this technological revolution of a world, Christian men and women alike want to disassemble the Gospel let alone all of the precious Word of God to be some DIY project that suits their very wants with little regard to the Authors true, intentional and and actual revolutionizing word. Claiming promises yet not willing to seek out the Promise Giver. Wanting to stand on truth, but the truth Himself doesn’t reside in them.

I have come to see that a walk with the Lord Jesus Christ to be liken to a symphony. There’s a maestro (conductor), the musicians not as individuals but as a whole, and the audience. All three play their vital role, but the maestro and body of musicians have the most intimate of roles— They are one in tone and motion creating a beautiful harmony that can only captivate their audience and move them to tears, whether they are seasoned in the ways of a symphony, or are a novice that’s taken to a place of enchantment solely based on the melody that captivates them and takes them to a place of truth that resonates in their very soul!

But with all things of beauty it isn’t some overnight success that appeared out of nowhere, but rather painstaking perseverance, endurance and passionate dedication that forges beauty from ugly, as it was when the world was dark and void, yet a voice, a whisper, a powerful command filled with all the love that would power up the Universe, said “let their be light” and the pages from God’s heart unfurled like a beautiful blooming flower in spring, and with every page from His heart streamlining our hearts, minds and souls with notes to a beautiful song, a majestic dance, a love story unknown to man, that would faithfully seal itself to being complete despite the heckling from the opposer of God, tirelessly being shouted out, we would be moved to follow Him.

Such is the passion that is needed in this world, and I desperately look to God as a man that was lost and now found to continue to allow me into the deepest recesses of His heart, that the chambers of His love would be forever sealed in the treasury of my own heart, that I will unashamedly share with a passionate plea the way my Creator has uniquely gifted me to share a love story that has me in absolute awe, that it causes me to weep at times for hours on end. Amen.

That’s the plea and observation of a man who lived a corrupt life filled with nothing but void. Now this man has known a love that is unparalleled to any fractured relationship he has ever attempted to have. Only Jesus could do such a thing, and as He invited me, I say the same, “Come and see.”

To our great God be the glory!
