Pigs & Pearls: A sexual dilemma

“Don't waste what is holy on people who are unholy. [Don't throw your pearls to pigs!] They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.” (Matthew 7:6 NLT)

In this moment as I reflect on the many hurting children of God, and the many hurting people all over this world— For the children who are struggling, this verse speaks volumes. The essence to view this Truth is in the Light of God's gift of our bodies. God is holy and so is the body He gave us. Men & Women, DO NOT share your body with unholy people, or in unholy ways—They will not respect it, and they certainly will abuse it (trample your pearls), and when you are feeling hurt (bruised from the trampling), they will turn and attack you with harsh words to match their harsh actions.

No one in their right mind desires to be used, and no one in their right mind desires for their virginity to be taken without care. No one desires to be used and abused. Heed the words of advice from the Lord Jesus, and keep holy what was meant to remain holy, and keep what is of worth remaining of worth.

Now you may say, I have long past that stage—how does this apply to me? In light of receiving Jesus as your Savior and Lord, you are now a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), and once again your body (temple) inhabiting the Holy Spirit, is a sacred (holy) place and is NOT to be shared with what is unholy (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV)

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. (1 Corinthians 6:19, 20 NIV)

**In my struggles when coming to Christ and learning to walk upright with the Lord, in lieu of holiness, the sinful desires of the flesh were the terrible offering given. I too, allowed what was of worth to be trampled, by giving into the temptations that are so prevalent in this dark world. But I thank God! for that moment of weakness, as He has given me strength to stand against such travesties.**

You may be thinking: How was I bought at a price? The very death of Christ on the Cross and the very blood shed from the back, head, hands, feet and side of Jesus was the price that had to be paid for your Salvation—Therefore, let us, His new Creation honor God with our bodies. Amen.

Give our Lord all the glory, all the honor and all the praise! Amen.

For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. (1 Thessalonians 4:7 NIV)

1 Peter 1:15-16 (NKJV)
Leviticus 20:26 (NKJV)
Isaiah 53:4-8, 11-12 (NKJV)

Let us pray:

Holy Father, pure in all Your ways. We thank you for the measure of your patience and faithfulness to Your children. Help us to be as you are, and according to Your Word, be holy as You are holy. We thank You for the victory in Christ Jesus. For Your glory and for Your praise, we bless you, in Jesus Holy name. Amen.
