Oxygen is Exposure

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual  hosts  of wickedness in the heavenly  places”. (Ephesians 6:12 NKJV)

Ephesians 6:12 sheds the glorious light of God towards this struggle. It's not against flesh and blood (meaning we simply desire to be battling ourselves), but the enemy works through such desires that we give attention to it. Anything that gains exposure grows stronger. i.e. You expose a sexual desire and attraction to another, it causes you to spend more time with said individual not in public places with others (fellowship), but hidden places to allow sin to breathe (become exposed) and as oxygen to a fire is life, so is exposure to sin. The more exposure the more out of control it gets, to the point you are consumed by it, and cannot relent...e.g. “Fall from grace.”

Glory to God! Give Him the Praise!

Let us pray:

Glorious Father and God, to you be the glory! For such a word. How we thank you for Your grace. How we thank you for Your Word. Help us to resist the enemy that he will flee from us. Help us to stand strong against our adversary as You are with us. In Your power may we stand and move forward in strength and courage. For Your glory we give You the praise in our Savior Jesus name. Amen.

"Not I, but Christ."
