In a glance: The Lord appears to me

Depiction of Jesus and Mary Magdalene on Resurrection Day
 Today's Word:

"Don't cling to me," Jesus said, "for I haven't yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" (John 20:17)

"It's a great feeling to always remain with the Lord, but it's glorifying to go and speak of the Lord. Amen!" - F. Lugo

The Theology behind the Word:
Read: Leviticus 16

Celebrated today: Yum Kippur (day of atonement) Biblically named Yom Hakippurim  or known as "The Great day of Fasting."

Many people fast from foods or other things that may cause them to sin (anything consumed into our lives that causes us to be lead away from our final destination...heaven).

*Sin = (a picture word) that means to miss the mark.

*Missing the Mark = (a picture statement) that means to die.

This is why Jesus was the "Great Day of Fasting," as He Himself would never sin, but He would graciously consume all the sin from us that would cause us to miss the mark, and eventually have a spiritual death: meaning separation from God forever in a place Jesus would speak of called (Gehenna).

Atonement (defined by Dictionary.com):

1.satisfaction
or reparation for a wrong or injury; amends.

2. (Theology
)
the doctrine concerning the reconciliation of God and humankind, especially as accomplished through the life, suffering, and death of Christ.

...but please remember and look to the Lord who says "Be encouraged, my child! your sins are forgiven." (Matthew 9:2) Amen!

I thank the Lord for coming upon me and graciously allowing me to share with you all. It is indeed my reward.

To God be the glory forever! Amen!

If you were wondering why Jesus said to Mary Magdalene "Don't cling to me," it wasn't because she was once a prostitute, and Jesus didn't want to be touched by her as many may think, it's because in the Old Testament the high Priest would go into a room behind a red partition; to the Holy of holy and he would take the people of Israel's sins and (make atonement) to God. He wasn't able to be touched by anyone for their fear of dying.

Jesus is the ultimate High Priest, and when He died He took all of our sins and fears of death with Him to God (the Holy of holy), and since we aren't in Heaven (red partition/veil) we cannot see God, but Jesus tore down the red veil by fulfilling the Law that we could never fulfill, and because of Jesus' Love and obedience to God; His Father our Father, we can freely and boldly go to God in Spirit, and in Truth and speak to Him directly through accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior over our entire lives. Amen!

That is indeed the Good News! Praise God! through Christ the Lord!

John 4:23-24 (New Living Translation)

23 But the time is coming—indeed it's here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. 24 For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth."
