Great is our God

In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)

•Large in number; numerous (Psalm 86:13 for your love for me is very great...)

•Unusual or considerable in degree, power, intensity (Revelation 20:11And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence...)

•Wonderful; first-rate; very good (Psalm 138:6 Though the Lord is great, he cares for the humble, but he keeps his distance from the proud.)

•Being such in an extreme or notable degree ( Psalm 147:5 How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension!)

•Notable; remarkable; exceptionally outstanding (Psalm 99:3 Let them praise your great and awesome name. Your name is holy!)

•Important; highly significant or consequential (Mark 1:11 And a voice from heaven said, "You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.")

•Distinguished; famous (Luke 1:49 For the Mighty One is holy, and he has done great things for me.)

•Of noble or lofty character (Numbers 14:17 "Please, Lord, prove that your power is as great as you have claimed...)

•Chief or principal (Deuteronomy 3:24 'OSovereign Lord, you have only begun to show your greatness and the strength of your hand to me, your servant. Is there any god in heaven or on earth who can perform such great and mighty deeds as you do?)

•Of high rank, official position, or social standing ( Job 22:12 "God is so great—higher than the heavens, higher than the farthest stars...)

•Much in use or favor ( Lamentations 3:23 Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.)

•Of extraordinary powers; having unusual merit; very admirable ( Job 5:9 He does great things too marvelous to understand...)

•Of considerable duration or length (1 Samuel 12:16 "Now stand here and see the great thing the Lord is about to do...)
