Prayer 101: Always A Time of Confession (all the promises of God are Yes and Amen)

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. (2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV)

Beloved, I would like to stand before you as a man who has never doubted, never spoke a word to the Lord telling Him to rush His ways, never given into fear or showing moments of thanklessness, but that would be a lie.

What is true of me is that I have indeed been doubtful. I have indeed grown impatient with Him. I have not always been thankful in every circumstance and situation and I fail Him everyday. However, thanks be to God for His reassuring Word that is always on time! With that said, I now invite you into my HEART...

Newborn Baby Surprise

Good morning beloved. I’ve heard that whenever God wants to make something happen, He creates a new baby.

Have you ever noticed how there’s always people taking notice of a new baby? Everything seems to be drawn to the baby. We gaze on in amazement and wonder at their simplicity in discovering new things, trying new things and lighting up our lives all over again.

It’s as if the whole world comes to an unprecedented gathering at the sight of a newborn baby.

Such a time has occurred in our history, that not only did many people take notice and became filled with joy, but “a multitude of heavenly host” praised and glorified God at the mention and sight of a newborn baby boy whose name was Jesus, and the prophets of old spoke of Him as Immanuel “God with us.”

This event is recorded in (Luke 2:8-14; 20):

And in that vicinity there were shepherds living [out under the open sky] in the field, watching [in shifts] over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord flashed and shone all about them, and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people. For to you is born this day in the town of David a Savior, Who is Christ (the Messiah) the Lord! And this will be a sign for you [by which you will recognize Him]: you will find [after searching] a Baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. Then suddenly there appeared with the angel an army of the troops of heaven (a heavenly knighthood), praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest [heaven], and on earth peace among men with whom He is well pleased [men of goodwill, of His favor]. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, just as it had been told them. (Luke 2:8-14, 20 AMP)

In this very moment I thanked God and asked Him that as He showed me this beautiful Truth about newborns and about my Savior today, that I would always stand in awe and amazement of the beauty of a newborn baby reminded of His promises. Amen.

Beautiful baby... Now wonderful Savior

For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6 AMP)
