These words, “put a ring on it” are synonymous with a song and a famous person named Beyonce, but the term has been long sought after by many women throughout the years. With that being said, I now invite you into my HEART...
Although the phrase or catch slogan “put a ring on it” was made famous through song and dance, in this world an actual ring symbolizes commitment from a man to a woman to enter into and remain in holy matrimony. Though remaining “committed” hasn’t always been the result, the ring still symbolizes such promise whether a person or equally two people who entered into a marriage were corrupted and didn’t uphold the sanctity of marriage.
I too, am shamefully part of such a group of people who corrupted the sanctity of marriage, and when I said “I do” my actions or lack thereof, overtime proved to say “I don’t.”
But I rejoice, as in the kingdom of heaven there is One who forgives us and restores us of our shame, guilt and embarrassment that was a result of sin. Amen! His name is Jesus. Now as I have grown closer and closer to my great God and Savior Jesus Christ, He by His high standards showed me and demonstrated what true committed love looks like. Now I can confidently say that commitment is of the utmost priority in my life, as to commit not only shows a sign of maturity but of intimacy that only a personal relationship in holy matrimony can fully and perfectly display the love of God to a people. Amen.
Beloved, no one taught me or raised me up in the ways of the Lord God. He was foreign to me. Matter of fact! He was not even known to me. But He who is called faithful and true, called out to me and came to me and brought an everlasting gift that no one could ever take away. This very gift was the Holy Spirit— the promise blessing of perpetual intimacy with the Creator God.
Such is the strength and promise of God’s love, that not only is it for me, but it is absolutely for you as well! Many in this world say, “put a ring on it” and Jesus did exactly that on the Cross— He proposed to a world in sin to receive Him in holy matrimony that would stand forever! Amen.
I thought that it would be great to end this with some insight on this very day being a special day indeed. This day being March 15, 2013, is a very special day for me. At 8:30a.m. it is officialy my 33rd birthday and a day I get to spend and celebrate it with someone near and dear to me— My beloved Mishel. To my further delight, I get to rejoice knowing, that I am in the bosom of the Father knowing His great love through my Bridegroom King... Jesus! Amen.
