Grace and peace to you in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Strengthening you to withstand all the attacks from your adversary the devil. Amen.


Beloved I share this with you as it has been something I have been a part of and have been witnessing amongst His people. This I pray, that we will allow God’s Word to build us up in the ways of the Lord, that we will not fall for the temptation to covet what the enemy has for us. In Jesus name. Amen.

Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.” (Luke 4:5-7 NKJV)


Beloved, yesterday (12/13/12) morning when I was preparing to leave for the day, I overheard the tv that was on in the living room and on the news, they were speaking of a celebrity that had now reached global renown status.

In that moment, the Spirit, reminded me of the above verses in scripture. Immediately these words became synonymous with ‘the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.’ In that, fortune, fame, celebrity, prestige, influence, indulgence, accolades, privilege and attention are the kingdoms to which the enemy has to offer us, if we would ‘worship before him.’


Certainly I say to you all. Have we not all been there? Have we not all desired such things? Have we not all fallen short of the glory of God? Does not the lottery and the hopes of winning the lottery bring such a life of fortune, fame, privilege and indulgence? Indeed it does!


I have been lured into such a captivated lifestyle, but I tell you, I have seen the error of my ways, and such things to me I now count lost.

Such things all lead to destruction. Or have we not witnessed plastered all over the world news, magazines and things of the like, with all those to whom such things have been given to (as they worshipped the devil in that their souls themselves are set on fire by the passion to attain and promote such a life) are completely controlled and ruled by such things? Indeed we have.


For the Lord Himself in weaken state from a great fasting, He heard as the devil stood before Him, such a proposal presented before Him, but it was to our benefit beloved, that He indeed did not forsake His heaven bound; hell depopulating mission to save us all from our sin, in order to receive all the kingdoms of the world to which the devil has dominion over.

I must ask such a serious, frightening and self-examining question before the Lord: Am I in any manner someone who has forsaken the mission of heaven for the kingdoms of the world?


Beloved, I invite you to such a moment of absolute transparency before the Lord who searches the hearts and knows the mind, and see where you stand. If you are like I was, then this is a pivotal moment in your life!

As the Word of God presents to us such an opportune time of confession, let us heed the words of the Lord.

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways. I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)


Beloved, when and only when we arrive at such a place of acknowledgement of who the Lord is, confession of our sin, thankfulness to the Lord for His endless mercy and prayer lifted up to Him for forgiveness and restoration, can we declare mightily as the Lord did before the devil, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” (Luke 4:8 NKJV)
